The Biblical Pastors Network exists to support
biblically-minded pastors in fulfilling their calling.
-

Faithful Pastors
Led by pastors for pastors, we provide opportunities to develop friendships, foster collaborative encouragement and wisdom, and grow professionally and spiritually.
-

Equipping the Church
We help pastors equip God’s people for the work of service while upholding regenerate church membership, biblically-qualified male pastors, the sanctity of human life and God’s design for sexuality and marriage.
-

For God's Kingdom
We prioritize the role of local churches in missions partnerships; foster collaborative efforts in church planting; and operate under the financial oversight of the local church.
Common Ground
-
We believe and teach the historic, orthodox doctrines of the Christian faith. We are Bible-believing, evangelical pastors who serve autonomous churches that agree with statements of faith such as the Second London Confession (1689), the New Hampshire Baptist Confession of Faith (1853), or the Baptist Faith and Message (2000).
-
Since Scripture is breathed out by God (2 Timothy 3:16), we believe it is our authority and guide. We do not ignore general revelation, confessions, creeds, or the historical and cultural context of Scripture, nor do we believe the Bible is simply a textbook for academics. Jesus viewed the Scriptures as verbally inspired (Matt. 19:4-5), plenarily inspired (Luke 24:25-27), infallible (John 5:39-47), authoritative (John 10:35), inerrant (Matt. 5:18), and sufficient (Mark 12:24). We are in agreement with the Chicago Statements on Biblical Inerrancy and Hermeneutics.
-
We believe what the Bible clearly teaches: that God made humans male and female; that marriage is a lifelong covenant of companionship between one man and one woman; and that sexual activity should be restricted to marriage. Sexual sins, like all other sins, are subject to church discipline. Criminal sexual abuse is also subject to civil punishment.
-
We believe that all humans are made in the image of God. Life is sacred from the point of conception to natural death. We believe the laws of our nation, states, and localities should apply the same standards for deliberately ending the life of pre-born, disabled, and elderly persons as they do for deliberately ending any other person’s life. We also believe that God is able and willing to forgive and heal all those who have participated in the destruction of life as they repent of their sin and have faith in Christ.
-
We believe that people of every ethnicity share a common ancestry in Adam and Eve. We also believe that God will bring into His kingdom members from every people-group. We therefore embrace all people with the love of God. We reject all teachings that would try to elevate or diminish people on the basis of their ethnicity, turning groups of people against another.
-
Before a person becomes a member of a local church, he or she must be given new life by the Holy Spirit. We reject infant baptism and receiving impenitent persons into church membership. We affirm the need for church discipline to be humbly and lovingly applied to unrepentant church members living in sin.
-
First Timothy 2:12-3:7 is instructive about pastoral leadership, teaching that churches need godly, male pastors who are above reproach and meet the qualifications listed therein. While women are invaluable servants of God in His church, the instruction given that women are not allowed to teach or have authority over men restricts the office of pastor to men. These restrictions were not culturally bound to the first century, but are as timeless as the reasons explicitly stated in the passage: the order of creation and the nature of men and women.
-
The great and lasting command Jesus gave His church is to make disciples (Matthew 28:18-20). While we strive to help our communities and nation pass laws that are beneficial to all and honoring to God, we know that our task as disciple-makers must remain our priority regardless of the political context in which we find ourselves. We understanding disciple-making to include both (1) calling unbelievers to repentance and faith, baptizing them in God’s Triune name, and (2) spurring each other to godly maturity, teaching obedience in everything Jesus has commanded us.
-
In Acts 20:4, 1 Corinthians 16:3-4, and 2 Corinthians 8:18-21, churches that partnered together for a common cause sent men to oversee the donation and mission. These men were responsible to report directly to the churches that the money donated was used properly. Likewise, churches in our day have the right and responsibility to ensure that their offerings for Kingdom partnership are used wisely and appropriately.
-
As we work together for God’s Kingdom, we desire to collaborate with others who share our values and beliefs. We believe this is the best use of the time, effort, and finances that the Lord has allowed us to steward.
-
We strive to build Christian men—not to the exclusion of women or children—but in order to most effectively bless families, the church, and society as a whole. We want to reverse the trend of the feminization of the Christian faith, which keeps men from embracing and following the Lord Jesus Christ.
We seek to promote and encourage faithfulness to God in the midst of a world that increasingly opposes the revealed will of God on multiple issues, including the following:
